“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” – Leonardo Da Vinci

During Term 1, the Year 5 children wrote some poems. In Week 2 of this term a one day poetry workshop was performed by Di Bates with all the Year 5 students. Following is a selection of their ideas from the workshop.

HI my name is Deana and this is my poem that I wrote after working with Di Bates. We had to play with words associated with our name.
Deana loves to wear a tiara
Deana loves to sing
Deana loves to dance
Deana loves to shop
Put it all together
Deana is fun.
I enjoyed this activity.
